COVID-19 has highlighted the importance of rethinking assisted living and frail care models. The immediate lockup of older persons in these environments, some for an extended period, without contact with family has had a marked effect on the health and wellbeing of residents. The very thing which these facilities are supposed to offering. There needs to be a shift in how we think about our role in care.
