Keith has spent the last 34 years in private hospital industry, 6 of which were as an elected director of the National Association of Private Hospitals (now Hospital Association of South Africa). He has been the Hospital Manager of a number of large hospitals in Durban, Johannesburg and Pretoria.
Halcyon Management Services (HMS) was established in 1996 by Keith, as a vehicle to provide management consulting services to the health care industry. Keith has also spent time in the United States studying hospital management processes and systems, particularly with the emphasis on productivity, cost and profit performance within a Managed Care and strong cost driven environment. During the last 10 years he personally had project responsibility for the development and commissioning of a number of large greenfield private hospital projects. Currently Halcyon has over 15 greenfield private hospitals in process in South Africa and sub-Sahara.
