Dr Gale Ure

Dr Gale Ure is currently Manager Non-Communicable Diseases, Life Esidemeni.    Dr Ure holds double doctorates – one in psychology and the other in bioethics and health law, and is an honorary lecturer in bioethics and health law at Wits Medical School, Steve Biko Centre for Bioethics. She has been a PEPFAR fellow seconded to World Vision International working with carers of orphans of Aids and vulnerable children in rural Thaba Nchu and Matatiele, South Africa. Dr Ure is the author of the chapter on substance abuse in Abnormal Psychology: A South African Perspective published by Oxford University Press 1st & 2nd edition and is also an associate editor of the International Journal of Mental Health and Substance Abuse (Springer).  BA, BA HONS (Psychology), MA (Psychology),  D Litt et Phil (Psychology), MScMed (Bioethics & Health Law) PHD (Bioethics & Health Law)
